Soft Wear Patch is a sashiko workshop that teaches traditional Japanese mending techniques. The two-hour class covers the history and context of the art, how it’s used in fashion today, and how you can use it to care for your clothes tomorrow.

After the presentation, there will be a hands-on demonstration with all materials provided and lots of socializing. Participants will walk away with an understanding of sashiko and the ability to do it themselves at home.

Behind the Brand:
Idle Worship

Idle Worship is a San Francisco craft-focused brand with a dedication to pushing fabric forward. This project started as a being a dyer for hire, but has since expanded to an original product line that includes premium leather goods and upcycled pieces. 

Gaining direct inspiration from the SF streetwear boom of 2006 and witnessing that spirit of collaboration and community, Idle Worship has worked with brands both big and small including: DSPTCH, Engineered Garments, Levi’s, SF City FC, 3Sixteen, and many more.
